The hotel industry is one of the largest employers in SA, with more than 26,250 people employed in the state's pubs and hotels.

Hotels also offer a wide variety of employment opportunities, ranging from bar work, gaming, food and beverage preparation and service, cleaning, functions, finance, marketing, public relations and management.

The hotel industry attracts people who are seeking both short and long-term employment, in casual, part time and full time roles.

Diversity and the enormous opportunities that are presented make South Australian Hotels an extremely attractive place to work. Training forms an important part of the employment process in the hotel industry in SA.

People seeking work are much more likely to find meaningful employment in hotels if they have completed some form of training. The more skills the workforce is equipped with, the better the level of service that will be provided.
