The Hospitality Work Health and Safety Association (‘WHS Association’) is running a free ‘Manual Handling & Slips Trips and Falls’ Training session in Port Pirie. Manual handling tasks are the biggest cause of workplace injury in the hospitality industry, therefore it is vital that you take steps in order to reduce the risk of such injury occurring.

The session will be facilitated by CHG! (Corporate Health Group). CHG has 40 year’s experience in helping employers create safe and healthy workplaces. CHG’s expert trainers, including Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, will provide attendees with an overview and understanding of how injuries occur and therefore why safety is important when it comes to manual handling and preventing slips trips and falls. This session will be very practical with attendees learning skills such as correct lifting techniques, stretches and more.
