Basic Gaming Training

Basic Training Booking Feb, March, April 2020.pdf

All training required for gaming employees and gaming managers must be recognised by CBS.

Gaming employees who have not previously undertaken gaming training must complete RSG 1 (formerly Basic Gaming Training) within 3 months of being appointed  through the BOEN system.  There are two ways in which your staff can complete RSG 1 training:

Enrol your staff into a face to face course conducted at the AHA Building, 4th floor, 60 Hindmarsh Square Adelaide.  This is a 2 day course 9am to 5pm both days.

OR

Enrol your staff into the AHA|SA on-line course, which is a self paced, online platform complete training.  As a venue it is your responsibility to ensure your staff have the IT skills and abilities plus an appropriate device to engage with the on-line Portal.

Costs are the same for both delivery types .  Until our new on-line booking system is in place, please advise next to staff member name if you have chosen face-to-face or on-line delivery.
Members - please login to the Members Section to ensure you receive the Members Price of $300 per participant.

Please note that non member hotels must pay at time of booking.

All bookings must be made under the Hotel at which the employee is employed and the booking must be authorised by the Venue/Gaming Manager or the person specified in the Hotels Training Policy prior to booking.

The previous courses - Attend gaming machines and Provide responsible gambling services do not meet the current requirements.

Employees who have successfully completed the Attend Gaming Machines and Provide Responsible Gambling courses prior to the introduction of the new training requirements (which is prior to 30th March 2015), will have this training recognized. Previous completion of these two courses before March 2015 will be recognized as satisfying the requirement to complete RSG 1,

The AHA|SA will be conducting RSG 1 face-to-face and on-line. The current dates are listed at the bottom of this page.

For RSG 2 (formerly Advanced Gaming Training)  please click here.

Additional training obligations - all employees undertaking Gaming duties are now required to complete RSG 3 (formerly Further advanced gaming training) within specified time frames.
