12 hotel finalists battled it out for the title of SA’s Best Pub Burger in front of an expert panel of judges at INVORATE - SA's Hospoitality Trade Who on Wednesday 18 October. Although the competition was tight, it was the burger from The Moseley Bar & Kitchen that wowed the judges in the end.
“The Moseley Burger was beautifully presented, and this was followed up with a delicious tasting patty – the most important part of a burger” said judge Christine Stephan.
“The patty was well seasoned, juicy and was a generous size.”
Hotel manager Tom Sellar said the team at The Moseley were thrilled to win Best Pub Burger in SA with their iconic Moseley Burger.
"The Moseley Burger is the most popular item on our Bar Menu by far" said Tom.
The Moseley Burger features a Wagyu patty, perfectly crisp Barossa bacon, tomato relish, a slice of mature aged cheddar and house made chips.
Judges were looking for taste, presentation, quality of the meat and value for money.
The other finalists in today’s competition were the Caledonian Hotel, North Adelaide; Cathedral Hotel, North Adelaide; Christies Beach Hotel; Golden Grove Tavern; Largs Pier Hotel; Marion Hotel; Morphett Arms Hotel; Regency Tavern; The Barker Hotel; The Brompton Hotel; Walkers Arms Hotel.
