All training required for gaming employees and gaming managers must be recognised by CBS. CBS has now mandated two courses for recognition - Basic Gaming Training and Advanced Gaming Training.
The previous courses - Attend gaming machines and Provide responsible gambling services do not meet the current requirements.
Basic Gaming Training must be undertaken by all NEW gaming employees and gaming managers within 3 months of being appointed as a gaming employee or gaming manager.
Employees who have successfully completed the Attend Gaming Machines and Provide Responsible Gambling courses prior to the introduction of the new training requirements (which is prior to 30th March 2015), will have this training recognized. Previous completion of these two courses before March 2015 will be recognized as satisfying the requirement to complete Basic Gaming Training.
The AHA|SA will be conducting Basic Gaming Training throughout the year. The current dates are listed at the bottom of this page.
For Advanced Gaming Training please click here.
Further training obligations - all employees undertaking Gaming duties are now required to complete 'further training' within specified time frames. For further information on what constitutes further training please click here and refer to the Pdf attachment at the bottom of the page.
