Regional Meeting - South Coast/Hills

HR/IR Information Session - 9.45am until 10.45am

The HR/IR Team will be conducting an information session titled Know Your Award prior to the Regional Meeting for interested members. This session is free to attend and will run for 1 hour commencing at 9:45am (the Regional Meeting commences at 11am). Attendees will receive an understanding (or refresher) of key provisions of the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2010 including how to calculate salaries, determining the correct rate of pay and when breaks are required. An overview of recently announced amendments will also be included.

Meeting of Members - 11.00am until 12.30pm

The meeting provides Members with a comprehensive industry update, including the following issues:

  • Liquor Licensing Review – current status including:
    • Risk Based Fee
    • Community Impact and Public Interest Test
    • Supermarkets and Alcohol Sales
  • Politics: The Xenophon Threat and State Election 2018
  • Penalty Rate Review - outcome
  • Gaming update

Lunch with Sponsors - 12.45pm until approx 2pm
